Council Of Multiple Listing Services Names New Officers and Board Members For 2017

LAS VEGAS – The Council of Multiple Listing Services (CMLS), the professional trade organization that serves the Multiple Listings Services industry across North America, has elected new officers and directors for 2017. They will assume their positions in January.

Lauren Hansen, CEO of Information and Real Estate Services, LLC (Colorado), will serve as president; David Charron, president and CEO of MRIS (Maryland), was named president-elect; and Chris Carrillo, CEO of Metro MLS (Illinois), was elected secretary/treasurer.

All three will serve one-year terms. They will be joined on an executive committee by current president Kathy Condon, CEO of MLS PIN (Massachusetts), when she becomes past president in 2017.

“Every year, more and more people express an interest in the elections because they see the MLS industry is thriving in this era of leadership and cooperation,” said Denee Evans, CEO of CMLS. “It’s an exciting time for CMLS as the organization moves toward a future where MLSs will add even more value to the real estate industry as unification, innovation, and a clearly defined intent become the keystone for a more efficient marketplace.”

New directors elected to three-year terms include: Brad Bjelke, CEO of (Utah); Matthew Consalvo, CEO of Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service, Inc.; Merri Jo Cowen, CEO of My Florida Multiple Listing Service (Florida); and Rebecca Jensen, president and CEO of Midwest Real Estate Data LLC.

They will join Steve Byrd, CTO at Carolina Multiple Listing Services, Inc. (North Carolina); Stephanie Hill, MLS director of the Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS (Nevada); David Howe, director of MLS Operations at MetroList Services Inc. (California); Carrie Kendall, general manager of Indiana Regional MLS (Indiana); and Richard Renton, CEO of Triad MLS Inc. (North Carolina).

Along with them, Tim Dain, MLS director for the Austin Board of REALTORS (Texas), will assume the remainder of the term previously held by Charron; and Gary Connolly, director of multiple listing services and information systems for the Hudson Gateway Multiple Listing Service, Inc. (New York), will assume the remainder of the term previously held by Carrillo.

Also newly elected is Lucie Fortier, senior director of operations at CoreLogic (British Columbia). She will serve as business partner director. This is a three-year term.

Business partner directors represent business partner members, which are comprised of companies and organizations that provide products and services to MLS organizations. Other CMLS business partner directors include: Gregg Larson, owner of Clareity Consulting and Clareity Security (Arizona); and Michael Wurzer, president of FBS, creators of Flexmls (North Dakota).

All new CMLS officers and directors were elected by the general membership, with exception to business partner directors. Business partner directors are appointed by the board of directors.
