Las Vegas, Nevada, September 22, 2021— The Council of Multiple Listing Services (CMLS), today recognized several organizations at its annual conference that have demonstrated extraordinary effort to communicate the benefits the Multiple Listing Service provides to home buyers, home sellers, and homeowners. These “Champions of MLS” have led the way in taking CMLS’s In The Know® campaign to market by participating in a contest to drive traffic to online campaign materials. The In the Know® campaign was launched late last year to educate consumers on how the Multiple Listing Service helps create an efficient, clear, and competitive housing market. The Grand Prize winner, Canopy REALTOR Association/Canopy MLS, which operates a Multiple Listing Service covering much of North Carolina and part of South Carolina, gained the greatest exposure for the In The Know® campaign through a coordinated effort to drive traffic to a campaign website REALTORS Know More and videos explaining the value of the Multiple Listing Service. Other companies recognized for exceptional support of the campaign included: The Business Partner and Vendor Champion of MLS, Cloud CMA from Lone Wolf Technologies, a leading real estate software provider serving over 1.4 million real estate professionals in North America. The Broker Champion of MLS, Mountain Sage Realty, an independent real estate brokerage based in Chandler, AZ. And honorable mentions including UtahRealEstate.com, a Multiple Listing Service supporting 96% of the Realtors® in the state of Utah; StellarMLS, one of the largest Multiple Listing Services in the country, with 59,000 members; Big Sky Country MLS, a Multiple Listing Service supporting Realtors® in Bozeman, Montana; and RMLS, which serves approximately 14,000 agents in Oregon and Southern Washington. Dozens of companies participated in the campaign promotion effort. “The Multiple Listing Service is the bedrock of virtually everything we know about the real estate market, yet most people outside the real estate industry have little to no awareness of what the MLS does,” said Denee Evans, CEO of CMLS. “These champions of MLS are ensuring consumers understand the benefits of putting a listing on the MLS and ultimately the value of a pro-consumer, pro-competitive, and transparent marketplace.” Dave Howe, Chair of CMLS, said, “We are thrilled to have great partners and our champions of MLS help share the value of the multiple listing service in their markets. We are grateful to all who have given their support to this campaign, and encourage everyone to become champions of the MLS.” To learn more about In The Know® visit www.multiplelistingservice.org and to download campaign assets, please visit www.cmlsintheknow.org. ### About CMLS CMLS is an association of over 200 MLSs committed to high standards of professionalism and performance.
